# WHAT IS ECOLINK?

Ecolink is a global WiFi network based on Web3 technology. It aims to address challenges faced by the telecommunications industry, such as improving network capacity and coverage and providing internet access to underserved areas. Ecolink enables transparent exchange of mobile network services and value among Web3 users, including mobile operators, enterprises, and the community. The network shares a fair portion of the value generated on the platform with the community. Users are rewarded for scanning WiFi coverage, supporting the network, and contributing to its growth and sustainability. The Ecolink ecosystem provides secure and scalable wireless connectivity without centralized infrastructure through Web3 technology.
